Getting FAR Too Close to a Tornado – The Film Frame

Storm chasers’ job is to research tornadoes. This can mean putting them in danger for a better understanding of the nature-frightening phenomena. This can be a hazardous job. This video shows how a storm chaser can get very close to a storm. A roofer may be needed to fix or replace roofing shingles damaged due to the force of a tornado.

Reed Timmer is a meteorologist and storm chaser at AccuWeather. The storm chaser was caught in the middle of a storm just outside Wray, Colorado. As he drove down the dirt road, he was able to see a funnel come down from the heavens. He had been looking for exactly the right tornado. It was an ideal funnel that was positioned on a flat surface. This tornado was clearly apparent due to that along with the fact that it wasn’t rain-covered.

Reed and his team drew closer to where the funnel was. The funnel swirled menacingly, taking in tons of dust and debris. Dust and debris turned the funnel an earthy brown color. Reed got closer and the tornado destroyed everything that was within its path. It also flipped a few tractor trailers and left part of them blocking the road.
